Step 1. Revise the new words in this module.

Step 2. Learn some language points.（板書）

1. contain vt. 

1> 包括，含有，指包含事物的全部。

This book contains all the information you need. 

2>  含有某種成分.

Sea water contains salt. (海水里有鹽分。)

3> 容納

This hotel contains 200 people. （這家賓館能容納200 人。） 

拓展：contain 和  include 的區(qū)別。 

include 指的是包含整體中的一部分。

很多同學(xué)，包括我在內(nèi)，昨天都去看望我們的語文老師了。 

Many students , including me , went to see our Chinese 

teacher yesterday ./Many students , me included, went

 to see our Chinese teacher yesterday.

2. shorten 使…變深adj/noun+en  vt  (使)變得  

deepen使…變深   broaden_加寬    thicken 使…變厚

darken  使…變黑_ quicken 使…變快 widen  使…變寬

brighten_使…變亮 lengthen 使…變長sharpen_使…變尖銳

請把這條裙子改短一些。  Please shorten the skirt.

請削尖這支鉛筆 。       Please sharpen the pencil.

3. go down  vi.下降，下去；（ 價格）下跌；下沉，落下

4. consists of  由------組成（無被動）/be made up of

1> 這家俱樂部（club）有200多位會員（member）組成.

The club consists of more than 200 members.  

2> The United Kingdom _______Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

     A. is consist of          B. is made up

5. as well,too和aslo

as well， too 和aslo只用于肯定句，否定句永either。

as well放句末，too一般放句末也可放句中，also放句中.

as well as 不但----而且，強(qiáng)調(diào)前面的人或物 和----一樣，和動詞連用。

我父親及我的兩個哥哥都去過美國。

My father as well as my two brothers has been to America

may/might as well + do sth  譯為“最好，不妨”

6. at the moment __那時         for a moment _一會兒    

in a moment  ___片刻之后   for the moment _目前，暫時

at any moment ___在任何時候     

came up with  vt. 提出（計劃，方案，答案等）；追上，趕上。

came up      vi. (話題，議題)被提出，想出。用主動表被動

allow/permit  vt. 允許 allow/permit doing sth.  allow/permit sb to do sth    sb be allowed/permitted to do
